Well, he definitely can tank it, or at least take it, but I'm pretty sure you're overthinking. Especially when the one that caused him to fully lower his guard was not Sasuke, but Boruto's clone, not by playing to his ego, but by doing the exact opposite and wounding it by landing a hit.

Well, Momoshiki is an alien that's related to Kaguya. It's been alluded that even the Uchiha had considerable amounts of physical strength and Momoshiki is possibly a distant relative of Kaguya, who is the ancestor of the Uchiha.

Sasuke being overpowered by one of his ancestors isn't surprising.
