It's not that sabo is hated, in fact I like him best, also he has shown far more destructive powers than Marco has. That said, I recently posted a response to the thread to why I think Marco has the higher chance of winning in a battle against Sabo, this is a "Who would win in a fight" kind of thread not "Who's your favorite?", it has nothing to do with hating, it's just that marco's defense man...

He had trouble to beat Burgess who was considered to be no match for Ace and lacks DF mastery at the moment. Although we've not seen Ace use haki, i'm pretty sure he had it considering his position in the WB crew and his early affinity with the most dangerous type of haki

What trouble are you talking about??? He was messing around until he thought it was enough and when he thought it was enough and went for the win, it didn't even take him 30 secs to win...where was it stated that he was no match for ace??? Also remember the 2 year skip....lastly I didn't say ace didn't have haki but I said that sabo's is 100 times better....I don't see any category where ace outshines sabo....

Burgess is a veteran pirate, part of BB's original crew he created decades ago already, who consider even supernovas like Bonney like too weak to be part of and didn't consume any fruit post-timeskip, so it's more likely he was already this strong since long time ago and the room in which he would evolve is that great

Haki wasn't as well developed as it is now, so you can't really say for sure Sabo has better haki. Not saying you're wrong, but you have no proof either. Even Mihawk displayed no haki pre-time skip but we all know he should have stronger haki than Sabo

Your first point is irrelevant since Burgess wasn't his only opponent also read what Rebecca said

Underrating Sabo? You people need to stop underrating Marco. Without sea stones or knocking him into the water there is no feasible way to defeat him. A Pheonix can not be killed(in mythology, obviously) The only way to stop Marco is to stop his DF first.

Shon93 a few days ago I posted a really well made reply backing up my opinion in this thread, nobody seems to have read it so let me just esplain:
Haki does NOT take your devil fruit power away, only blackbeard's DF can do that, as for water it only weakens you thus explaning why Luffy could strech under the water before taking out the kraken and depending as how the kairoseki is applied it may weaken you or stop your powers completely.
You seem to forget Marco is a Zoan, he is just a Giant bird in flames, Anyone can do what Garp did back there to Marco because he only has a physical form, Haki is only a must against certain Paramecia like Luffy and all Logia because of their unique attributes.
You rememeber Kizaru back in MF? His beam-machinegun thingy? When Marco tanked that it was his body suffering the damage, but thanks to his hax DF he regenerated himself, His boddy was litterally being pierced and destroyed by mini freezer beams constantly, his lungs, hi heart and his brains were no exeptions and he still was able to keep on tanking Kizaru's beams up his face all the wat to kick him down.
Logias however ave a liquid form, they don't regenerate like Marco if harmed, they just go into their Matter form to nullify the attacks themelves, once harmed they don't regenerate, that's why Garp could harm Marco if he was a Logia wich we all know he isn't.
As for his wounds from Garp's punch? I'd call it dirt on his face man, when Marco had actual Kairoseki on himself he recieved a true wound from Kizaru(All bloody'n $h1t), but the moment Marco got them off guess what? The wound completely dissapeared and he moved like it never happened!
So as for if Garp even used haki vs Marco idk where ppl gets it from, because again; Marco has a physical form, what Garp did to Marco is no different than a punch from Luffy.

So basically: Marco did not get harmed from Garp's punch.
