Starting off simple, Max would channel his chakra into the ground and raise multiple rock pillars that are aimed to skewer the opponent. Simultaneous to that, Max would use his left hand to throw a tagged shuriken thats attached to a string(thats attached to his arm) towards the opponents head.
Following through, Max would channel lightning chakra into his sword, resulting in it leveitating and being sent with two copies towards the opponent.

Yu would notice the ground shake and tremble as the rock pillars arose. At the same he would notice his opponent flick a kunai towards him. Without a moment’s hesitation Yu would gather lightning chakra in his right palm to create a lightning rope which he whips around to break all the incoming pillars. As Yu created this whip, he flicked a kunai of his own with his left to intercept his opponent’s. Continuing with the whipping motion after destroying the pillars, Yu would swing the rope in a manner that it knocks away the incoming swords as they approach (I take it they approach in a straight line since no specific formation was mentioned). With one swing the swords would be sent flying in another direction. Yu follows his defense with another swing of his whip this time aimed at his opponent’s torso.
