*Waits for Ryuji in the middle of a cobblestone courtyard that has an elegant white marble fountain in the center, with a red, wooden bridge at each of the cardinal directions, actually leading to the courtyard, which is circular in shape and is encricled by a small moat clear, crisp water, as I sharpen a few of the katana that lay around me with some bokken.*

I want to learn how to use a sword because there will be battles were I will have to figth in short range, wich is pretty difficult, to attack and defend with your legs and arms at the same time, so having a sword and know how to use it, will give you a thirp option of how to defend or attack while still using your other body parts to confuse your enemy.
Pretty much like the figth of Sasuke and Killer Bee, while Sasuke was so focused on the swords or blades, Killer Bee was about o pound him to the ground if Sasuke didn't have the Sharingan O_O

Hm.

Well, let's begin, then.

*Hands you a bokken.*

First, do you know what a bokken is? O-O

Okay, good. o_o" Some people don't know, so I just wanted confirmation.

Now, let's begin with the basic attacks: the horizontal and vertical slash.

Since you said you actually did some stuff in real life, I'm going to assume you know a bit more than a complete noob.

o_o" So, first, I want you to describe to me, in detail, how to do the one handed variate of each of these attacks.

O_O noobs

The vertical slash is when you birng your sword up and slash down across your body
The horizontal is when you put your sword hand on the other side of your body and slash across with your arm extended

*I create 2 clones that stand in front of me, I bring the Bokken up my head and slash down cutting my clone in half, then I place the Bokken on the other side (left) of my body kinda like hugging myself O_O and slash my clone, ending with my arm extended*

xd Be nice.

Very good. These two strikes are the most basic of all the sword slashes, and are, in effect, what every other sword strike is based off of, bar stabs.

Now, can you can you tell me what the advantage of using two-hands in a strike is over using only one hand? And what disadvantages does it pose as well?

Using two hands gives more strength and pressure when you stab or defend.
But using your two hands...well limits you from performing handseals O_O, thats the only weakness I can think of O_O

Actually, using a sword at all limits your ability to do handseals - only certain jutsu and certain people can do handseals with one hand.

Using two hands does allow you to have more power, but it often comes at the price of control and the ability to react in certain ways.

Think about it - Knights, Samurai, and other warriors use two handed strikes when they need to do heavy damage, but when was the last time you have seen a nimble fencer use both hands?

Using one hand also allows for certain movements to be made that may not be able to be made otherwise.

Now, can you demonstrate a two-handed vertical and horizontal slash, or should I demonstrate it first?

Demostrated first please ^^
Alright.

Vertical: *Placing both hands on the hilt of my bokken, the left below the right, I raise the blade so that my fists are just above my head, and the blade is running horizontally, with the tip pointing behind me. I then bring my arms down in one motion, while stepping forward with my right foot so I can lean into the strike.*

Horizontal: *I place both hands on the hilt of my bokken, left below the right. I then, keeping the blade on my right side, point the blade out behind me. I then unfold my arms, and slash from right to left.*

Where you able to understand the gist of how the strikes work from that?

Yes is a pretty good explanation ^^

*I grab the Bokken you gave me earlier and place my hands on it's hilt with my left hand below the rigth, I place my arms over my head and the tip of the Bokken behind me, I bring my arms down at the same time I take a step forward to lean and strike the air* O_O

*Keeping my hands in the Bokken I move it to my rigth side extending my left arm and closing my rigth arm, with the tip of the Bokken behind me I unfold my arms and slash the air from right to left ending with my arms extended*

Very good. ^_^

Next, is the basic stab (one-hand). o-o Can I assume you know how to do this?
