If US starts a war with Russia, whole world will suffer... Russia is on par with US in military strength... Not to mention a war is in no ones interest.

This is a conflict of Ukraine trying to show off and get aid from US/EU cause their government has failed it's people. The nation is on a verge of bankruptcy and joining EU would bring momentary money to aid, gaining US's trust would get them millions as stated by Obama.

This is the thing with all these allegiances and hand-holding, all it takes is one event and every country is dragged into a 'war'.

Russia is a big immediate threat, just ask the nazis. China seem to be playing the long game in their inevitable route to world domination, they're on top of the economical food chain. North Korea seems to be a threat but nothing the US, the UK and their allies cannot handle.

russia has said in the past that if nato went to war with russia or any of its allies then russia would use nuclear weaponry.

nato has more technology but the east has manpower, and unless you're using laser beams and plasma shields technology does not beat manpower. back in the xvi century the first spanish warriorrs were beaten by incas because they had more numbers.

Georgia provoked Russia to begin with. And thing is, Russia has a powerful influence on the world. They aren't liked because of Soviet Union days however feared. Russia has potential to destroy the world. Obviously they have more nukes than world combined, if you believe them halving their nukes by the deal made with US and other nuke owning countries, think again lol.

Even now they have nuke subs around US on ''stand by''. And always have had..

You do realize that Ukraine gave up their Nuclear arms for the protection from NATO ? If NATO does not abide by that deal, it not only gives Russia more influence but it gives no reason for other countries to trust NATO, thus leading to an increase of Nuclear Weapons.

Putin in a metaphorical sense, just gave NATO and US a check. Now it's on them to either sacrifice a pawn (Ukraine) and back off, or to attack.
