I think your reasoning of it being "fluff", thus having no meaning to the actual story, is a cop-out. Most people like to see HOW and WHY things are. Sort of like the fights in the series. None of these fights contributed to the "message" of the story. So, why not cut those out and just have had Naruto assuage every situation? Because people like to see how things unfold; the trials and tribulations of characters' progressions.

Actually, the fights ultimately led to the final message of the story. So therefore, it was necessary.
What meaning does showing Kakashi becoming hokage have?

Thanks for agreeing with me?

What meaning did throwing a punch have? Or tossing a kunai? Absolutely none to the overall message of the story. Most of the time, it just ended with Naruto talking sense into enemies.

Did you even read my post about why people may want to see "Kakashi becoming hokage"?

Oh I thought you were trying to make an argument.

I actually somewhat agree with you, but it wouldn't have hurt to have added some of that "fluff"; things that fans have anticipated to witness via manga.

What I was disappointed about really at the end was..
"The final bosses" being milked. Just seemed a new final villain appeared one after the other.

Sasuke VS Naruto fight. Was very short and Sasuke having a change of heart that easily and quickly.

Orochimaru and Yamato statuses too for me. Wonder about Yugo and Karin too.

Only problem I have with the actual ending is what is Sasuke doing? He's just walking around for 10-20 years? I think its pretty sad to think hes doing that. It seemed he was going to do that whether he stayed "bad" anyway, so what was the point in changing good?
That and hes still the last Uchiha, which is sad to think too. Unless his daughter can inherit the Sharingan...though with her wearing glasses its not looking like a great start there..

Sasuke has been through a lot & he wants to clear his sins, so he's more than likely also helping people & who says that Sasuke won't have another kid? The possibilities are endless, but they are just that...possibilities.
