[Discussion] Rushed ending?

The major complaint that people have about this chapter is the so called "rushed" ending. They want to see Kakashi being nominated, they want to see what happens orochimaru, they want to know how spiral zetsu disintegrated, they want to what happened to the rest of Konoha 11.

TBH, these things are all "fluff". extra details that would only delay the ultimate message. In my opinion, I think what Kishi did here was right. He made it concise and to the point, only emphasizing things that actually mattered, such as the various item symbols and what not. Everything else mentioned above does not pertain to the message of the story.

If you really want to see the unrelated details, there's always chapter 700 and The Last.

you're right, though i want to see all those things too.. it's just about not being able to let go, i've been following naruto since june 2005 and now it ends. it even kept me alive at some point.

How zetsu died is comments sense zetsus came from Shinju sasuke and naruto did a sealing justu to put the shinju away for good Is zetsu is apart of it he goes with it but it still was rushed kishi could have expended this at least 10+ chapters

They're not going to show Kakashi coronation because Kishi dose not want to take away from the Main story that Naruto is the Hero of the entire planet the one who solved the problem. A little coronation for Kakashi dose not take precedence over the World Hero Naruto Uzumaki.

There are just so many unanswered questions.

Why did Tsunade step down? Is she hurt? Or did she feel shame for allowing this to happen under her watch that she retired? Or was she just tired of it all and wanted to finally settle down?

What about Orochimaru and Kabuto and those folk? We've heard absolutely nothing from them.

What the sage's tools Tenten had? Did they just have no use?

And of course we've got Kakashi's and Naruto's coronation that are completely omitted. Perhaps the latter will occur in The Last, but who knows.

There are just so many little details, which I personally feel are quite important, that are just totally ignored and not mentioned. The only hope is for The Last to give some detail on it, as the mini-series sequel will be purely set in the future, yet I don't evne think The Last can explain all the details.

700 felt quite satisfying for an epilogue, but 699 just felt totally lacking and pure fluff.

I don't even know how to feel about the series...

I think your reasoning of it being "fluff", thus having no meaning to the actual story, is a cop-out. Most people like to see HOW and WHY things are.

Sort of like the fights in the series. None of these fights contributed to the "message" of the story, so why not cut those out and just have had Naruto assuage every situation? Because people like to know how things unfold; the trials and tribulations of characters' progressions.
