Rumor?

I heard a rumor somehwere online, that Kishimoto stated that he originally wanted to cast Hinata as the Ramen guy's daughter and be Naruto's girlfriend that he would return home from missions and talk to.

I think that would be a cool idea. I mean it would also make for a nice little romance, Hinata being the non-ninja girl, who responds and helps Naruto with his problems. obviously hinata's character woudl've been different, but lol.

in any case. do you guys know about that interview, or was it just some fan's made up nonsense? or maybe i read it wrong, i haven't read it in a while. lol. but still is it real? and if it isn't would that have been a cool idea for the story

Yeah, I heard that one too. I think it was written in the first databook along with Hinata's original composite sketch before the Naruto series was created, I'll try and track down the link. I have definitely read that one before as well.

Couldn't find the text that talked about her creation and conception, but whatever. I definitely read that somewhere.

He scrapped the idea anyways for a heroine role for Sakura anyways so it doesn't even really matter. But Hinata was definitely one of the very first characters conceived.
