Kenjutsu is the sword technique that both ninja, and samurai use. It can be supplemented with ninjutsu and taijutsu to increase it's effectiveness. Many Kenjutsu users learn how to stream their chakra into their blades to make the slicing capabilities great.

A few examples of well know Kenjutsu users are: Sasuke Uchiha, Suigetsu, and Chojuro.

Good ^^

Now this training session will consist of two parts..

Part 1: I will show you all the free hand Kenjutsu moves, and show you how to use your blade in combat.

Part 2: I will conduct a Kenjutsu spar, in which we will fight with our swords free hand only, no jutsu allowed. Once you've shown understanding of how to use your blade in a fight, the training will be over.

Understood?

Good, now begin doing shoulder strikes. Do these 100 times. The reason i want you to do it so many times is because of muscle memory, while in a battle you want to be able to do these moves easily, to the point where they flow naturally.

*Watches the motion*
Alright..
*Begins performing the shoulder strikes on the dummy. At first, the shoulder strikes are rather rough and inconstistant but after a while, they become more smooth and rythmatic (is that a word?). Then I finish all 100 strikes.*

No it isnt xd

Now, hand switches. Its important for a swordsmen to be good with both his hands. So start out with your dominant hand, and then move onto the other hand.

50 times per hand

Damn it! xd I was trying to say rhythmic but I couldn't think of the word.
*I slash the dummy 50 times with my right (dominant) hand first. After doing this I begin slicing at it with my left hand, which is harder due to the lack of practice, but I manage to get it down after a few dozen slices.*

*Performs the left to right motion 100 times, and then follows up with the right to left motion 100 times*

Funny thing is, this is by far the most realistic type of training I've seen yet. xd
