Without a Sensei, you will know only base techniques which means you will get steamrolled easily in a battle. Lol With a Sensei, he/she teaches you techniques which can make you reach the top. The training is step wise where every area (Elements, special areas,etc) has progress level wise, D, C, B, A and finally S. after which you master that field.

Training. Basically where you learn techniques so you won't get soloed in battles. Find a sensei/senpai. Ask them via VMs or apply in their application thread (not everyone has one). If they have an open spot they will train you in that field (Fire, Water, Wind, Lightning, Earth, Ninjutsu, Genjutsu, Taijutsu, Kenjutsu). You make a thread and your sensei/senpai replies to it. And you reply. And then he replies. It goes on from D Ranks to S Ranks. After S Ranks there might be Forbidden Ranks, but not all has it. After that you complete that field. Also, you can have as many trainings on going, not just one. I have senseis and a senpai teaching me in every field except Lightning (I finished that already). Good luck! Lol
