[Suggestion] RP Tournament

Basic Idea: Ok, unlike the average normal tournaments this will be quite different because you will not be using your own bio or the bio of your choice. The ones who apply for the tourny need to have the basic 8 mastered and should've been a member for over a period of 6-8 months. This should help weed out members who are not familiar with the RP rules. After a preset number of people have applied(30-40), the members will each be assigned a token number unknown to them, by the staff.The same set of token numbers will be assigned to a set of restricted cannon bio's and non restricted bio's with special abilities like sage mode, EIG etc. This aspect will be unknown to applicants. Now similar to the NB lottery, the staff assigned will match the applicants to one of the tagged bio's. The mebers can now use the bio assigned to them. They are only allowed to use the abilities that their bio is shown to possess. The only thinggs common to all the bio is Ninjutsu, Taijutsu and Genjutsu(not necessary). Then the tournament can begin. It will consist of the standard elimination rounds. The match-ups are made as with any other official tournaments. The need for a prize is completely up to the staffs in charge. But if needed be,the top 3 could be awarded with the bios that they used. Simple as that.

I like this idea, it's pretty interesting. They probably wouldn't let it be that you are awarded the bio or ability though, it'd probably be more like you get permission for it if you don't already have it.

This is pretty unique. However, it shouldn't happen that one member gets a more powerful bio than the other, because then it gets unfair. Mods can find a way to balance out the abilities. May the best RP'er win.

Maybe they could restrict some of the cannon/non cannon character such as Might Guy (8 gates) and the Jinchuurikies but there are more out there and they know it.

Even though I don't RP no more I like this idea and it would be kind of fun to see people engaged with each other with bios that they're not familiar with, plus it would be a good challenge and competition is healthy.

I like this idea.

That's the best part. Everybody loves an underdog. The fight is not graded solely based on whether you win or not. It could be graded more along the lines of battle test standards. It'll challenge an RP'er to a greater limits, to make the best out of with what he/she has.

Well, then the major part of the grading should involve "RP'ing". It's an element which is present only in some members. Simply throwing S-Ranks is generic, and I would love to see people actually RP, per se.
And, well, if one guy gets a EIG bio and someone else gets a Sora bio, then it's pretty obvious that the EIG bio gets the upper hand, so yeah, there could be some restrictions related to that.

Though I get what you're saying, from my understanding we wouldn't be allowed to use biographies that we don't "own" in KT or BA, which is what this tournament would be based on - Using random bios. Anyway, whether it's unofficial or official - I want in. It's a great tourney idea.

I remember that Mei cannot use Boil Release and Lava Release in the same turn as per our RP rules. Someone who is fairly new and blessed with a lot of free sensei's and senpai's can easily complete the basic 9 in 3-4 months and lack any knowledge on the bio's here on the RP or how to use them. Whereas somebody who has been a member for 6-8 months would have had his fair share at reading many battle tests and BA fights. This would reduce the number of victores over minor technicalities.

Not really. Noni is doing a tourney in Kiri without anything to offer and all of us signed up just for the fun of it. Just the fun of to see who we'll be matched up is enough to spike the interest. In my opinion.

Yes take her suggest into the factor but it is true no one would join if they can't get anything but those are the ones that complain about not having a tournament around. I like the idea even without no prizes because it gives us the ability to be outside our comfort zone of using our own bios.

Agreed. A tournament might be just what is needed to kick start the rp and get everyone pumped up.
