Ok, you know what isn't helping the teaching system? The level of sensei being let in
But first I wanna talk about the sensei we have now. Psh like, middle of last year there were almost no active sensei's. It was horrible, you couldn't get trained in anything. And the sensei's that were training were so swamped you'd get 1 reply a month. To be frank we were in a desperate state. And what was our solution?
LETS JUST LET EVERYBODY GET SENSEI THIS TIME AROUND
And we made it so that everybody who had applied that time got approved, and everyone who passed the written passed. Now lets be honest, some of those sensei tests were complete crap. Mods and sensei, I believe even Vincent and Scorps, even said themselves that a lot of them only passed because we were so desperate. Zatanna being a perfect example. But hey, at least they'd be active right? At least we'd get training right? Wrong. How many of the sensei have quit? And how many actively reply to training? I bet you wouldn't come up with a very impressive number. And all they have to do is post a jutsu, and tell them to do the template. God, can you imagine what would happen if they had to actually train, to explain the jutsu to their students? How many of them would reply then, actively? None of them I'd bet. What I'm getting at is, letting more sub-par sensei in is not going to save the system. Like, I just saw the sensei apps. Everyone got approved with the exception of Solf, Will and LA. I think that they shouldn't have been declined, but that's not what this is about. This is about the ones that did get approved. Im not going to call anyone out but I am going to tell you what I see. And its a bunch of people who are nowhere near the level a sensei should be.
Im looking at it right now, and I see someone who asks me on how certain cannons work. I see someone who thinks they can use earth jutsu that require you to slam your hands on the ground in mid-air. I see someone that doesn't properly understand genjutsu, thinking you can use it at the same time that you use elemental ninjutsu. I see someone who doesn't understand time frame. I see someone that doesn't understand the basic NW rules. I see someone who submit customs that is nothing more than a fireball. I see someone who submits customs that can turn everything around them to ash and is strong to all elements including water. I see someone who's rushed through their training and probably doesn't even understand all they've been taught
And they have all been approved. And I think to myself, this is what is acceptable for sensei? Is this how we plan to make it better, by lowering our standards? Lets not make the same mistake as last time. Lets make people that actually you know are capable of it. Not that many around? Then try to push to people to be at that level, hell train some noob from the ground up and make him into a sensei. Just please, dont keep adding sucky sensei and asking, "Hey why isnt the system getting better" Instead, lets get some of the old sensei back, as much as i hate some of them, they have actual skill. Surely they wouldnt mind teaching something, even if it was just teaching genjutsu. They could take battle tests. Idk, but I do know id rather have a bunch of capable sensei than a bunch of sub-par ones teaching nothing and giving out misinformation, not training their students properly and in the long run stopping rp'ers that are capable of being sensei from appearing, because they arent being taught correctly. Anyway on to the subject of BT, these incoming sensei dont have the skill for BT's. Like seriously, look at their fights. You think they can plan out a whole battle when they barely think past the first move? How do you expect people to take these sensei seriously? Ill just wrap this up with saying lets do things differently from last time. Well, psh this was more of a rant about the people that were approved for sensei apps but whatever, its off my chest.
Also no bashing to you Vincent, no bash <3 This whole wallie was just me getting me feelings out, but no bash to anyone
