Ok so this has been in my head for like months now and ever since I wanted a second opinion on the matter. In the kaguya battle tests, I have seen both Mugi and Gobi to cast a genjutsu on the opponent and he simply releases a bone from his body and inflicts pain, thus escaping the genjutsu. I believe that this is totally not right. Kaguyas don't feel pain when releasing the bones from their body. We have seen Kimmimaru using numerous techniques and we haven't seen him being in pain anywhere. Not even when he was a child and was fighting in Kirigakure...If he really felt pain by releasing bones through his flesh, then why not show any emotion or actually scream of pain. He was merely a child and we clearly saw no pain, so why kaguyas have to be immune to genjutsu in our RP?

This actually does make some sense. However, Mugiwara is the Kaguya expert in the site. Lets see what he has to say

In the same way monks can walk across coals without burning their feet: If you grow up being able to grow bones out of your body, you get used to the pain.

Actually, it does cause an extreme amount of pain. From a certain point, the pain simply stops bothering them psychologically, however, the pain is still there, and would still send a shock throughout their bodies. As far as Kimimaro goes, he was put through psychological trauma as a child. Plus, I don't think it's quite appropriate to show a child screaming on the ground in pain, while removing a bone from his back on television. It's designed as a kid show. No, I suppose, torture, will ever be shown to a child as small as we saw Kimimaro. You could have a point, but I really doubt that it could simply not hurt.

IMO Kaguyas do feel pain, they just have a higher tolerance for pain. That is, they're used to it after countless uses of the Kaguya techniques. That and not to mention their genes, which Im assuming must have adapted to that kind of thing.

Think of it like the sharingan; normal sharingan usage takes a certain amount of chakra to perform. However, by constantly using it and training, Itachi is able to keep it up all day long with a minimal drain from his chakra reserves.

This is the same; Kimimaro was already used to using his bones, even as a child ( there has to be a reason why he was locked up, thus it's obvious he awoke his abilities prior to his seclusion ) he would create that bone knife. Furthermore, I don't think you have seen Itachi roar with pain when he was being consumed by his illness so there is no reason to believe Kimimaro wasn't as skilled as him to hide his pain.

Tbh, when I learned from Goro in Jun 09, I remember learning that the time it hurt to do it was when we were awakening it, mostly through practice. After using the bones for a while, the pain wasn't felt as much as before. In time, we'd grow not to notice it or something..

Maybe that's changed or something...

If I remember correctly, Kimimaro was on the verge of death and was in tremendous pain throughout the entire fight. I would imagine its like wolverine, where it hurts every time a bone is protruded from thier body.

I believe the manga shows his skin ripping open when the bone comes out.

He's just a Boss like that.

I say Kaguyas love pain U_U

Thus its more of a pleasure shock, and the fight keeps them busy not to show emotion

Scoff Scoff....
We SUPRESS the pain... like everybody said... think of it like wolverine.... He feels it every time his claws extend and retract....

We feel it as well but we have gotten so used to certain areas of the body through rigorous training and practice that we can suppress it... this is true... but every kaguya has sensitive spots on his body that are rarely utilized for jutsu... these areas are much more painful... if a kaguya suspects he is in a genjutsu all he needs to do is concentrate on these areas...

Using their bones provokes pain. And they become each time more "resistant" to that pain. However, the thing is that Pain is used to release from a genjutsu by shocking your body, spiking your physical energy and with that fluctuate your chakra enough to release from the genjutsu, overcoming its own imposed chakra fluctuation. So, if your body is used to the pain, it wouldn't produce a significant unbalance on your chakra like it would with a normal person. What i'm trying to say is that if they are resistant to pain, that pain should become less effective at releasing genjutsu.

For the person who asked if Mugi was the one who decided everything regarding Kaguyas, no, he is not. However, he's the most experience Kaguya RPear of the staff and because of that, his judgement is obviously highly respected and taken into account with a different weight than my own judgement on such matter for example. Simple as that. Common sense. Same way that if a question regarding Kenjutsu or Custom Weapons appears, we talk to Cali. If a samurai question or discussion is held, Izanami is the one to call. For earth and wood, Scary would be the man. Etc etc.
