[Suggestion] RP - Special Custom User Bios

After hearing this idea from Crutch Kaguya, I thought it would be a nice discussion to open up and suggest.

As most RP players know, there are Special Bios of canon characters that require certain requirements to be made before being allowed to make the bio and even battle tests that require some of them to be used. The idea involves allowing RP players to submit their own custom bios they have made and go through checking to be made into a special bio. Certain aspects of the custom character would be kept and some removed.

For example, if a custom bio was to have EIG, Sound, and be part of a Custom Clan, then it would be submitted and checked. In the submission, the user would submit the requirements necessary to make the bio, such as mastering elements, passing a battle test, etc. After the checking process gets approved, the special bio is made and anybody would be allowed to try and make the bio. Given that the bio had EIG and Sound and was part of a clan, if a user passes the requirements, he would have access to all those things. (This is just a rough idea, and has not been completely thought of full scale how it should be operated and regulated)

Custom techniques or elements would not be included of course (Unless of course, the user allows it)

While I think it is a great idea, I think it would infringe on several bio rules.
For example, the maximum size of a custom clan. If people keep passing a test for a CC bio, it could pass the (25?) CC member limit. Also, I think the head of the clans would appreciate in having a say in who gets to use their clan techniques, not just people who're skilled enough to pass a test.

And for the test, how would you show so much in so little time? Say, a CC, with Sound, and EIG, maybe even NB Tai, Fuuin/Kin. Yeah, I doubt it would happen.

So, lets say I have a Bio in a CC and it has EIG and Sound. Instead of gaining the permission to join the clan, learn EIG and Sound Release. I can just take one test and get all of them? Thats not going to happen. Tests for abilities are graded with a lot of thought and require one to show skill in different fields to mean the criteria. Example: EIG takes a whole test just to show enough skill in taijutsu to be allowed it, Sound is the same with lightning and wind. If a test existed that you would need to show enough skill in Taijutsu, Wind, Lightning and CC abilities, it would have to run much longer then a normal test, which would not only be overwhelming to grade but also give more room for error from both parties. Its a cool concept but I personally don't think it would work.

I didn't get it at first, but I think I got the gist of it now. It pretty much comes down that they're suggesting to have custom special bios. Just like with our current (canon) special bios, you would have to pass a test for it, only this time it's for a completely custom made bio where the combination of skills is predetermined.

I'm not very keen on it though. It would make a mess of a lot of rules and you can already get such bios, so it's pretty much comes down on finding a faster way to get certain abilities all at the same time.

Hum, I get it. Instead of testing for one ability and then the other, which both can be combined into one bio, you'd test for the end result.

Assuming for example, you want Dust, which has a test and EIG, which also has a test, you'd simply take one test for a Dust + EIG bio. (stupid example since neither can be combined but yeah, thats what came to my mind).

Nice, Thanks Scorps. I will just add another question in this same thread without creating a new thread for that. Will custom special/Hidden ability bios will be allowed in the near future? Like custom sand, custom paper, custom Dark thread, Custom Ink etc etc.

Sand is a tricky thing. While before it seemed to be linked to the Shukaku only, very very recently, it was a Gaara only ability, which seemed related to Magnet release and his own father and his KG. But in this filler arc of the anime, we're seeing a guy who uses it. However, some confusion about it still exists to explain if its Earth based, Wind based or a variation of Magnet Release. Sometimes wind shows thrown into the mix. Other times nothing shows. Other times, earth seems related. Unsure. I need to read the last data book which I admit I haven't yet.

Custom paper was allowed as a one off thing to the only person we saw having dedicated herself to a paper bio for a lenghty amount of time and having based her own RP into that, it seemed fitting to allow that exception. Made it that more special.

Custom ink was allowed before, people moaned, was revoked. No one has had a Sai bio for long enough to consider that he or she would deserve that exception.

Also, don't confuse HA with chracter unique skills. HA belong to clans or groups of individuals which teach eachother a hidden unique art. Character specific skills are skills seen used only by one individual.

It was a Kinjutsu from Takigakure. There is nothing to hint it can be used by anyone else than Kakuzu.Saying a technique or skill is originated from a village and was even stolen from it, doesn't mean there were people in that village capable of using it.

Actually, not even Tobirama could use it or Hashirama, the most likely creators of it. Only person shown using it was Kakashi for a brief moment in a dubious context.

Indeed stealing a technique doesn't mean everyone in the place you stole can use it, But I am just trying to search a small reason for you guys to allow custom Dark thread, custom Jashin and stuffs like that. But, yeah it's upto you guys. Since the Manga has ended now, new stuffs like these will be exciting to try out.

if you are a sensei, by winning the sensei award, you can request stuff like this to Caliburn. Thats the biggest unused perk for being a good sensei. For giving back to the community. You can request to mix 2 bios that would otherwise not be mixable. You can request a custom bio of an ability which doesn't have custom bios. Etc etc. No garantee that its accepted but if you have a solid reason behind it and you showed you deserved it, its most likely something you'll achieve.

If you want a custom Earth Grudge bio, have Kakuzu for a long time and show your love for the ability. Make it to sensei. Be a good, skilled, hard working sensei. Win that permission. Ask Caliburn for the permission. Like others, you'll likely be accepted.
