I had a suggestion about making battle tests last longer than 6 turns, especially for those where you have to showcase several things.

The main reason for this suggestion is the Nagato bio.
You'd have to showcase Basic 5 elements, as well as the Paths and their abilities.

Now within each of the 6 turns, you'd have to activate a path. There are 6 paths, which leaves 2 jutsus per turn from the start of the test till the end. Within those two turns, you'll have to use one jutsu from the paths and one from a random element, meaning every turn = a random path activation + a jutsu from that path + a single element. Only in the last turn can the user use another element a second time, without leaving one of the basic 5 unused.

This is really limiting, and for no good reason. This isn't for me personally, but just an observation I've made and others have agreed with. I've already gone for a Nagato bio, incase someone suggests this is just me making it easier for a future test I'm planning because people always assume the worst.

All in all, my suggestion is to look over certain battle tests and if more usage of elements/abilities is required they should be made to last longer.

Well, there technically is no rule that says a fight needs to be x amount of turns. 5 is the minimum turns needed and most proctors Stop there. It's up to the proctor in most tests as they close it when they feel you have shown enough to be graded upon. I agree some tests should be longer than usual, though.

I didn't know that.
But regardless, your point on how some tests should be longer should made into a rule rather than a proctor just judging depending on how they feel. Like, a minimum of 8 turns for Nagato, maybe? I keep using Nagato as an example because I haven't been through the other high level bios requirements to see if they'd need more time.

Some proctors just can't hang is all.

If you don't have helpful insight, don't post and spam.

As for making it a rule, when issuing tests, I tend to give specific instructions on them, though admittedly not lately. Nagato is passable with only six replies, imo. It isn't mandatory to use EVERY Path, for example to demonstrate your skill with it

See, what happens when you decide to quit as mod and your successor in that area doesn't do the same? Or as you mentioned, what happens if you stop doing it?

Yea, I agree, considering many have passed it with only six replies, including myself. But I just don't see the point of making an already difficult test even more so. A few extra turns wouldn't change anything major to the way things are already done, imo I think it'd be a good addition.

Fair points. I'll include this in the Bio Test template threads.

The RP Bio Test is testing you on your skill and knowledge of the exclusive abilities to that Bio and evaluate each usage of those abilities in PVP battle scenario. The proctor is engaged in setting up situations whereas you demonstrate each ability, which is intended to focus primarily on those abilities.

It's not about it being long, it's about if it's done right.

Seems to me it's not.
