[Discussion] Royal Guard 2.0

Guys, let's think about a post war scenario. If all Royal Guard members were killed, who is eligible to take their place?

We dont actually know how this promotion work, if "master cook" Kirio got someone else's spot, or if before her promotion there were just 4 RG's and an extra palace was made for her. But for the sake of discussion let's say that each palace and their function has to be maintained, and the former RG workers will keep doing their jobs. For example, the 2 guys we saw on Kirinji's bathtube will remain taking care of it, Oetsu's girls will keep doing zanpakutos, Senjumaru's elves(minions) will sew shinigami's clothes. So, the Capitains would just have to be able to absorb enough info on their function to command their workers, and have high knowledge on all Shinigami's basic arts.

Hot Spring Demon- Hirako Shinji> he is old, smart and strong enough, plus we know that he can make operations and as such could do the job of healing whoever SS cant.

Ruler of Grain- cant think of anyone but Urahara but I dont think he's a match

God of the Sword- hard one

Great Weave Guard- Yoruichi maybe

Monk Who Calls the Real Name- Ukitake> he's 1000 years old, very smart and knowledgeble, with all the info he would have access on royal palace he could be the RG leader.


And do you guys think there is anyone who could be a brand new RG, and what invention would take him that high?

I don't think their positions/titles are a permanent place that needs to be refilled. I think someone is promoted and given a title (presumably by Ichibei) that fits their contribution to SS or their ability which led to their contribution. That being said Royal Guard candidates:
Ichigo
Byakuya
Kenpachi
Urahara
Isshin maybe?
Yoruichi
Shinji maybe?

The inventions don't need to be something so tangible. Ichibei created names. A case could be made that Isshin has discovered a new form of zanpakuto via the FGT, while the technique may be limited to getsu's, the merging of zan and body do not as evidenced by Aizen doing it too. Perhaps ichigo will be made a royal guard by "creating" peace between the quicy and shinigami or by being the first being to have all four powers proving it is feasible.

It was never stated that Isshin created or dscovered new from of zanpakuto, FGT. Actually....

Three most powerful shinigamis (not couniting Yamamoto, Zaraki or RG) are Urahara, Isshin and Aizen. There are very powerful, and relative young, actually all three of them seems to be 'a lot' younger than Kyoraku and Ukitake (very talented shinigamis, but still inferior to trio I named). So why are these 3 so powerful.?

My crack: All three of them were already in RR and trained there just like Ichigo and co.

Except for power they got from RR, there also got something other.
Isshin was told about FGT by Ichibei, in pretty similar situation to Renji... Urahara got to analyze all of their inventions and create his own version. He created hot springs (Tenjiro), some food (you can see Orihime eating some food in HM), zanpakuto (not really that he created it, but he was able to help Ichigo got his own without asauchi), clothers (both Chad and Orihime has new clothes).
Still, I'm unsure what Aizen could get from RR except for power, but he could get some important informations that lead him to rebillion later.

They weren't in the royal relam. After Urahara was banned from SS Isshin ran into him and didn't immediately recognize him nor were they friends to start.

Hummm, that does make sense, I dont think it is the case with Aizen, because he was laying low and did not want create too much atention, on the other hand he did know about the soul king and implied some stuff to Urahara, who has been copying stuff from a few RG's, his gigai is based on Kirio's thechnology right. Well it makes sense, i give you that
