Im going with roshi. His lava techs are way stronger than mei's, and I doubt acid will do anything against a V2 cloak.

Roshi can use his lava coat jutsu, I'm pretty sure Mei's lava won't affect that, plus he's a Jinchuuriki. But who knows we haven't seen much of the two.

Flower fruit mountain = a mini mountain made of lava. That is far more powerful than any lava tech mei has ever done. And then you have his lava shield, and lava balls.

From what I've seen, I'd say the 4tails, he even gave Kisame trouble, not saying that the mizukage wouldnt give kisame trouble either, but what I've seen from mei, shes good at spitting out hot sticky stuff and acidic mist which SLOWLY burns. I dont think acidic mist will hurt roshi if he uses his lava coating, and if all else fails, go V2 on her, we all seen what v2 can do to ppl.

We really havn't seen much from either shinobi.

Mei:

- Very versatile, able to utilise 5 elements (fire, water, earth, lava and boil)
- Her boil and lava element have been shown to be very powerful (her skilled mist technique was melting sasuke's susanoo and her melting apparition technique was melting madara's susanno).
- Skilled mist + hidden mist would be an extremely deadly combo.
- Her melting apparition technique can produce steam which can mask a further attack.

Roshi:

- His lava techniques seem to be very versatile (he can create armour, shoot molten rock and create a torrent of lava)
- He would obvioulsy have a large chakra reserve (host).

It all depends. If mei is able to keep her distance and spam her melting apparition technique like she did against madara, or perhaps use the hidden mist technique in conjunction with her skilled mist technique, I see her winning. I think the biggest factor will be stamina (roshi) and his tailed beast transformations.

If sasuke's chidori (I dont know the rest of the name of the technique) was able to cut off one of hachibi's tentacles, then I dont see why mei melting apparition technique couldnt hurt the 4 tails (Im not saying that you said that or anything but Im just saying lol).

I mean remember the fight she had with madara, she just spammed that technique and covered him with a copious amount or lava. Imagine if she did that to the 4 tails..

I think the 4tails would be able to burst through her lava. also, the acid mist, I think the same properties mist might have on lava would be the same on 4tails. heat dosent effect 4 tails either. So her lava would only serve to maybe trap him

durability of a tail <<<<< durability of a V2. Sasuke's chidori spear cut through bee's tentacle, yet naruto's rasenshuriken doesn't even draw blood from the kyuubi. Their bodies are far more durable than their tails, and V2 is constantly destroying and creating cells, so a slow-melting tech like acid mist will either not even affect V2 or will be healed through.

Roshi pretty easily. His magma element looks like it's stronger than Mei's and he has his v2 mode and I don't see anyway Mei can deal with that.

I still say you guys are underestimating Mei. She's one of the five Kage. You don't get to that level with just strength alone. You also have to be experienced, a skilled strategist and quick on your feet. A few strong techniques from Roshi won't be enough to bury Mei.



Not to mention, we have no idea what level Roshi is at

All the Jinchuriki went into Version 2, yet, they haven't gone insane:

They're in Version 2, but they're not rampaging around like animals.
They're using their techniques and fighting tactically.

You cannot go into Version 2 and maintain your sanity unless you have control over your Bijuu like Bee does. We know for a fact that none of them had this level of control:

The only Jinchuriki that had control of their Bijuu was Bee and Yagura (and later Naruto). This means that Tobi's control over them has something to do with it.

Not to mention that Han even transformed into the Gobi:

Which he cannot do on his own because he didn't have control of his Bijuu

Without Tobi's Six Path chakra receiver influence we don't even know if Roshi can utilize Version 2 like he has thus far.
