The problem is that he didn't close Guantanomo Bay. When he said he would. And also, you can't put an exact date on when you can fix the economy. WW II fixed the depression in less years than Obama has had, with a larger economic crisis. So why he promised to fix it in that span is beyond my comprehension.

This was all over FB 2 days after the debate... you think he could have at least hid it better or started it with his sleeve, I mean politicians don't play fair :FACT: and its really crappy to see them cheat especially if they're running for office but you think at least he'd have the courtesy or the intelligence to hide it better. You'd think he'd be able to come up with a better way to get it out unnoticed than pulling it out of his front pocket when walking to the podium.

It's not like it matters his base doesn't like him or think highly of him at all anyway.

Okay. Good answers. Now tell me. Do you believe Romney will keep on his promises? I mean, neither candidate should promise something that's not going to happen (I am neither an Obama or Romney supporter)....

This is tricky; in short speak...no. He's a politician, they promise what they need to during election season, then once someone gets elected....reality kinda sets in. Now, I can't answer based on that, why I'm going to vote for Mitt Romney. I am voting for him because out of every other candidate out there, knowing their positions and analyzing the data, I have come to the belief that he is our best shot. That's just my opinion. He is the only one I believe has a legitimate stake here.

But yes, he is undoubtedly making far fetched promises. I want the Reagan years back.

You do realize that the whole " Imma do such and such in one term" started along time ago i honestly forgot what president started but ever since then ever president says they will do something in the first term that never gets done. How is closing G.B. a problem???
You do realize it took 8 yrs to ruin the deficit so no matter who the president is, it'll take twice as long to fix.

1: So because other presidents lie it's okay to lie? Obviously through your text morals are non existent to your thought process. Saying lies is okay because other people do it is insane. saying it does just makes you look incompetent.

2: You cant spend your way out of a recession. Furthermore if his goal was to cut the deficit then he failed by adding 5.8 trillion. It's very obvious the economy is not fixed other Bernanke wouldn't be injecting 40 billion a month into the market with printed money.

In a sense your right but wrong at the same time. Inflation will kick in and lower jobs. Also one thing is that some companies like Lockheed Martin withheld from displaying job loss rates which is illegal.

I stated in the Romney or Obama thread as to why I'm voting for Obama:




And in all honesty, they are both "evils" and whomever is elected will be the lesser of the two. However, one thing I like is that most Presidents like to appear on tv and go to public outings for what I like to call "Social Eye Candy", which is something that Obama seems to be really good at doing. And I respect him for that, actually. However, I'm reminded of a line from the musical Evita: "Statesmanship is more than entertaining peasants."

I respect your opinion and wish you luck come voting day. However, to be honest, everyone really has a different idea of what "making progress" is. Honestly, the two sides won't really see eye to eye on that at this point. I'm just wanting the election to come around, so we can get this over with. As much as I look forward to voting, I'm sick of this mud slinging political war of retribution. (I honestly don't respect the "social eye candy" prospect, cause he has better things he should be doing. Like running the country. Woodrow Wilson governed so hard it killed him. I believe we need that kind of person. Hopefully president's start behaving like that again.)
