Memories
Dear sweet memory, to which borders does thou travel?
To where would I have to go to escape your warm embrace?
I seldom leave the comfort of your shores, the deep blue sea ahead in gaze.
If I were to leave....would you shed a tear for my absence?
If I were to cease existence...would you wait for me?
In this lonely world, it is just you and I
We share a bond beyond what words could only hope to reach
Many would laugh at the thought of my only love being thee
Many would scoff at the mere mention of thine beautiful name
When indeed, in secret, they whisper to you
Oh the fools who dare to question our love
Could they understand us? Whoever can would be the lucky
I used to forget about thee; your presence would escape my very grasp
It wasn't till sadness and death crept ever closer that I began to visit you more often
Since then you have become my solace
A refuge for the lost where they are forever immortal
My loved ones are far gone from this plane but on your shores...they live like kings
You have become my love above all loves
To whom I give my undying breath to say thank you
I regret I knew ye late but since I have
My world has been but a little brighter
Thank you, I truly do love you
with all my devotion.....
