It would be a close one, Lee would have to continuously avoid shadow stitching, and if it gets to dark it's done. On the other hand as soon as Lee gets within Taijutsu range he will smack shiki into the ground.

I say Shikamaru could win. Once Lee tries to attack, he'd be caught in his shadows on contact. Then shadow stitching or shadow strangle for gg. Shikamaru mid-dif unless catipillar can convince me otherwise.

Shikamaru is impossible to use in vs debates-especially if he has intel. The reason being that the way kishi writes him, it's impossible for us to predict what genius strategies he may concoct.(We are all used to debating powerful moves, but complex strategy is another matter). It's only when he's up against extreme powerhouses(eg Hashirama,Naruto,Nagato,sasuke etc) when we can safely say he loses.(If you know what I mean.)

OT: Lee mid diffs. If Part 1 Temari was able to avoid the shadows, it goes without saying Lee can too. If he's going all out, simple Taijutsu barrage ends it.

Lee takes this.. even without opening any gates he displayed a speed in which shikamaru's shadow can not keep up with.. shikamaru has also never been shown to be good at taijutsu so once lee gets in close shikamaru is finished
