hmmm good question i never really played attention to neji and rock lee al tho rock lee kicks ass... but in shippuden i only seen neji and rock lee fight once not against each other of course.. but hmmm my guess would be rock lee but than again neji has the 64p sumthing like that

its ok i will fill you in rock lee and neji are very skilled at taijutsu but neji has the bayakugan one of the 3 great eyes or kekkai genkai and neji also is called the the genius of the hyuuga clan even though he is not apart of the main branch and he knows how to block your flow of chakra and can see the flow of chakras in jutsus to stop them
but rock lee is a hella lot faster has amazing speed better hand to hand combat and can open all 8 gates but he cant use ninjutsu like neji can and doesnt have any special kekke genkai so neji is the better ninja hands down

Back in the pre-shippuden anime, when Rock Lee was fighting Gaara, it showed flashback references of how Lee would always be on the floor with Neji above him. Tenten would come and try to tell Lee to give up, because he would not beat Neji due to him being a Genius.
Lee planned on using Gates to beat Neji, proving that even a Genius could be beaten.
If you want to see something priceless, when you find it. Look at Neji's reaction to Lee openning the Gates. It is quite...........Amusing. lol.

yea ur rite n even though neji is a smartass he still has that weakpoint n since rock-lee is fast he might be able 2 get to it in time.

You can say that Neji is a better Shinobi or has more Shinobi skills than Lee, but if they fight to death Lee is going to win. Even Kisame had no chance against 8 Gates. If the asker asked which one has better skills, then Neji, otherwise Rock Lee.

I think Neji is better and would win against Rock Lee. Neji might not be able to run as fast as lee but his reflexes are just as fast as Lee and together with his byakugan he could dodge any of Lee's attacks. If you remember from the fight Neji vs. Naruto Neji was able to dodge Naruto's punch when he was in Kyuubi form. I think Naruto in Kyuubi form would be comparable to Lee in 8 gates mode. Besides It takes a while for you to release the 8 gates giving Neji plenty of time to go in and block Lee's chakra points. Lee has alot of potential but I don't think he is at Neji's level yet.

ninjustus wish yea but rock-lee in his pass battles didnt take that long 2 open the gates
farther then the 6 yea but it only took 4 get through gaara's ultamtie defence n image now that he's gotten stronger throughout the manga....

idk dude remember how strong neji was when he beat one of those guys who had sasuke in a box back in the regular serious but yea i can c y rl would win but than again we really didn't c neji use his full powers in ns in regular serious rl would beat neji for sure
