When Naruto was fighting the last Pain and Guy told Lee they should go help - what if Naruto got caught & Lee & Guy stopped him and fought him in the condition he was in atm?

Not true.

Back then there were threads about why Gai and Lee were off for an mission while Pein attacked the village. Taijutsu was his weakness and the 2 strongest Taijutsu fighters weren't there, too much of an coincidence. People were speculating that they could have stopped him.

The only thing that changed now is that we know for sure that they would have stomped the paths if they fought together (no 8th Gate needed).
