- What is Dark release in your own words.
- Why do you want to learn Dark release?

Dark Release is a rare KG which originates from Kirigakure. This ability allows the user to absorb and release any chakra directed towards him. The user has a mark on one of his hands to control the Dark Release ability. The marks have the shape of small diamonds, the upper one absorbing and the lower one releasing said chakra.
I've wanted to try a fresh and new KG ever since I realized that Puppetry wasn't my thing. I searched up KGs around and Dark Release interesed me the most. Since I fill up all its requiriments, why not. It is not a bad ability, but a very strong one which is used for defense and offense at the same time.
You must have mastery over Fire and Lightning, which make up Dark Release. The only known user is Hiruko from the 3rd Shippuden Movie.

Meiton is a KG in which the user acts almost as an Organic Fuuinjutsu of sorts, absorbing and releasing physical and spiritual energies (chakra). Because it works, in a sense, like a Fuuinjutsu, the absorbed chakra doesn't actually enter the users Chakra Circulatory System (like what happens with the Rinnegan's absorption abilities) but its kept in the KG mark, as if stored in a separate space within the body. One can say the squares (upper and lower) are much like portals to the sealing space but the sealing space has no connection with the user's chakra. Because of this, the user has little control over the form he can release said chakra. As he releases it, it manifests in a raw energy form rather than a specific elemental one.

Okay, I shall explain the strength and weaknesses of our KG.

But when release your opponents technique, if your opponent blocks using any of the following; The four obvious ones; Fire, Wind and Raw chakra along side these more uncommon ones; Sand, Rain, Steam or Boil you will have the upper hand, since dark just eats right though energy based chakra.
While Dark isn't strong against Water and Earth since they are both matter elements and, lets be real you can't absorb something that is matter, just doesn't work like that. Earth suffers double strength towards the absorbing ability of Dark Release (meaning that only an S-Rank Dark release can absorb a B-Rank Earth technique)
And again when release your opponents technique. If your opponent blocks using any of the following; The two obvious ones Earth and Water as well as; Solid Ice, Steel, Wood or Lava. They will overpower your dark as they are matter based.
Dark has been slightly nerfed, lighting can be absorbed, but when pitted against lighting. They will cancel one another out. Obviously have to be the same rank.
The reason I like dark release, it gives you the chance to absorb your opponent attack and redirect it stronger.

I know all the canon techniques require inhaling maw to use but. Just humour me for this next thing.
Try and gather up your lighting chakra in one hand, and your fire chakra in the other hand. Then try and merge the two into dark chakra, it sounds easy enough. But it is not.

Feitan clearly listened through this person standing in front of him instructions. Not waiting any moment, he starts vibrating his chakra in his left hand. The said chakra gradually changed into Lightning natured chakra. Whereas in the other hand, Feitan heated up his chakra to transform it into Fire natured chakra. Once doing this he clapped both of his hands, concentrating both traits of chakra to merge them into one form, that is Dark chakra.

Seeing the teacher or rather the opponent exhaling a huge fireball, Feitan goes through the process again to make Dark chakra and raised his right hand, in the level of his nose. As the fireball comes closer and closer, Feitan begins to use the Dark chakra to extract it and absorb the chakra of the fire technique into his upper diamond square.

So after absorbing a technique with maw, you will release the chakra in both of your hands. Then by releasing it outwards in the form of a shockwave. At long range the shockwave will push them back, same for mid-range. But if used within short range of your target, it will cause massive internal damage. So this technique is best used when in short range of your target.

Dashing towards the clone with a great speed, Feitan gets in the CQC range with him. Then by suddenly raising his right hand, Feitan thrusts it towards the clone's forehead and grabs him tightly. Activating his upper square, Feitan slowly, but absorbing a great quanitity of enemy's chakra. This chakra then could be used to enhance other Dark techniques to help them be more powerful and/or fast. Once Feitan was done absorbing his needed chakra, he kicks the clone away.
I wanna say something about this new tech, that it's wayy to risky to use this in an actual battle. You dont have to be short range, but super short range in a way for your hand to reach any part of your enemy's body.

As the technique is traveling towards Feitan, he raises his right hand and absorbs the spiritual and physical energy of that technique through his upper square. He then converted the absorbed chakra into Dark chakra, concentrating it at his lower square, then releasing it in the form of blue flames that make their way towards the mid ranged clone, burning him down causing severe damages in his body.

Range: Short
Chakra: 30

Description:
The user will spread his arms to the sides and point his palms outwards in opposing directions, activating his absorption squares in both his hand markings. As he does, a radial vortex-like effect is creating towards each hand. By doing this, the user is able to defend from attacks (following the elemental weaknesses and strengths of the KG) that are thrown at him from all directions, as the vortexes will direct them to the markings. However, if the user fails to keep both arms and markings perfectly opposed to each other, the vortexes will become unstable and fail.
This is similar to inhaling maw. But also different, it does have the same absorbing effect. But this technique is used for defence. So what I want you to do is point out your palms facing outwards and facing opposing directions. This in turn will activate your absorption squares on both of your hands. Once that is complete two vortex will surge out of your hands, these vortex get larger, and allow you to defend from attacks from all different directions. The only issue with this, you have to keep both your arms, and markings opposed from each other perfectly. If you don't well you could damage yourself.

Fetian spreads both arms in opposing directions. Manipulating dark chakra he activates the absorption suquare in both of his hands. Noticing the movement of the teacher, throwing a wind technique towards him, Feitan starts supplying the squares with Dark chakra which come out in the form of a vortex. The two vortexes are perfectly distanced from each other, due to Feitan's hand positions. Feitan knew if he'd make a mistake by moving even a centimeter of one hand, he'd be done for. The wind technique clashes with the vortexes, which are able to protect Feitan and easily consuming the wind.
