rivals and team mates

there are tons of threads about this character vs that character and most involving rivals as portrayed by the manga or by us fans.
So what I want to know is what two characters would make a well tuned team not only strong and powerful but excellent team work.

examples.....Oh and why would the pair be good together.

minato and itachi
hashirama and Madras
naruto and assume
j-man and orochimaru
sakura and ino
obito and kakashi
etc........

IDK just spammed teams I would like...some of which are typical rivalries or exist as them in manga.

Sasuke rides on Gaara's sand while firing enton arrows and amaterasu at everybody.
