This is a fanfiction of Kakashi before Naruto's graduation.
Minato and Hiruzen are sitting in the Hokage office.
Hiruzen: Hmm? So you decided to name him after the character in Jiraiya's book?
Minato: Yes. Did you ever get a chance to read it? The main character is a pretty splendid shinobi.
There's a knock on the door.
Minato: Enter
Enters a young Kakashi
Kakashi: Minato sensei may I speak with you? It's very important to me.
Hiruzen: I shall take my leave. We will speak later Minato.
Minato: What is it Kakashi?
Kakashi: I don't want you to die sensei.
Minato: !?
Kakashi: I already lost three important people in my life and I can't loose you too. That's why I came to ask if you could place me on the Anbu team that's helping you guard your wife as she gives birth.
Minato: Kakashi I left you off that team for a reason.
Kakashi: What reason would that be!? huh? I don't-
Minato: Because I don't want you to die either. I've already lost two of my students and i can't stand to loose another. Please Kakashi let me handle this on my own.
Kakashi: Yes sensei.
There's a knock on the door. Enters a young Guy
Guy: Kakashi I'm ready to train now.
With a big grin, Minato: I promise you Kakashi I'll be fine.
Kakashi: (I sure hope so sensei. Look after him Obito and Rin.)
Panel switches to Obito looking at Kakashi at Rin's grace.
