Rather than Sasuke going back to the leaf village wouldn't it be better if he just took over the Land of Sound from Orochimaru and goes from there. Rally in strong stray clans, renew the old alliances, utilize information Orochimaru has obtained during his research. Its a lot more logical than trying to become Hokage for a village that you abandoned.

No nation was born at its current strength it takes time. Land of Rice is relatively new. With Naruto vouching for him, the Leaf will create an alliance with him and then Gaara will jump in to support Naruto. 2/5

It's logical, just not practical. Orochimaru won't just hand over the land of sound to Sasuke. And why would Sasuke waste time fighting for a county he was only in as a rogue Ninja with no Connections to it? Staying in the leaf is Whats best for Sasuke at this point since Itachi's ambitions finally got through to him

The sound village doesn't really exist anymore. Without Orochimaru they would have all fled. So, no this theory is stupid. Plus, hopefully he dies soon anyway. His ugly mug is annoying.

An alliance isn't strength, it's support.

Support is exactly what is needed in the growth stage. With allies a small nation is less likely to be targeted. Plus after this War there is going to be a long time of peace. Sasuke is just 16 there is no need to rush.

Villages consist of people. The shinobi probably went into hiding when Orochi was defeated. Sasuke worked closely with Orochi in the sound village so Sasuke probably knows where a record of the shinobi are. The only thing left to do is announce his presence as the new leader and rally them up.

It wouldn't fit with Sasuke's motives at all. Sasuke didn't want to become Hokage for power, building a strong village or for competing with the other villages. He wanted to follow in Itachi's footsteps and protect the leaf, not the sound. Afar from that it would be an interesting concept but I'd say it won't happen.
