Look at that flash back of what he promised to Naruto, he told Naruto WE WILL DEFEAT HIM and that he can go safely.

Yet we can clearly see Madara has not been stopped, I fail to believe He just stopped after that line and said yh Mei your right.

So let's face it Oonoki fans he's dead, Uchiha Madara killed him and the other Kages are trying to tend to his wounds or crying or whatever.

My prediction for the next line from Naruto to Madara:

Naruto: How are you here what happen to the Kages, Oonoki promised they would take care of you.

Madara:..Ah, yes there was such a fellow by that name.
