*My apologizes if a similar thread has already been created*

So earlier people were wondering how a "naruto like" Obito was swayed to turn into the villian we see today. In the latest we chapter we saw that he has no intention of listening to geezer Madara at all. So what could've happened to make Obito change his heart so early?

Unless geezer Madara turns out to be the originator of "Talk-no-jutsu", my prediction is that geezer Madara made Obito witness the death of Rin. After seeing Kakashi fail to keep his promise to protect Obito's one and only love, Obito goes over the edge, loses all hope and falls under geezer Madara's influence. If that is the case, well then we are in store to finally see Rin's demise ourselves in the coming weeks.

Your thoughts?

I think it was a combination of that and being with Madara for a long time. Madara said there's no way out so I don't think Obito's going anywhere for a while.

I agree. Madara did something to trigger Obito's demeanor. That or what he's been doing was an act the whole time, which I find unlikely. :)

Sounds possible, I agree :) Though IMO, I think there's more to it then just Rin's death. It's prob about her death too, but something else probably escalated it. (His reason for doing what he did.)

I believe that Madara simply took over Ocito's body, and made him kill Rin, afterwards he erased that memory, and made him believe that it was Kakashi's fault...This happening though around the begging of the Shipuuden, because that is actually when Kakashi gets his mangekyou sharingan, which means that, that is when Rin, has been killed by Obito. At least I believe that she was killed by Obito's body ( for the mangekyou), because Kakashi does not have the guts to kill someone so close to him.

It is simply Rin dying and he will probably think it was Kakashi's fault. I imagine Kakashi seeing if Rin is ok then going to fight and right after he leaves Rin ends up dying to keep someone safe that she is tending to on a battlefield and Obito sees it. That or Obito is doing some mission for Madara and ends up killing her as she has some Anbu mask on or something and he doesn't know.
