[Discussion] rinnegen source???

right i know rikodou sennin was the first to have the rinnegen but where did tobi get his??

it reads that tobi gave nagato the rinnegen wen he was younger but where did he get it from before that? this to me suggests that tobi could actually be madara (tho this is not my focus of discussion). so could any one help me incase ive missed something? or has this not been brought into light by kishi yet?

No, it's not completely explained in the manga yet.
But it's hinted that it was actually Madara who gave Nagato his Rinnegan and died close afterwards. After being zombified, the first words Madara uttered were ''So that brat Nagato seems to have grown up...''. That helps us to come to the conclusion that a part of the plan consisted of having Nagato resurrect Madara with Rinne Tensei.

Tobi might have taken part in said eye transfer act, or he could have just been trying to keep his Madara persona up. We don't know the lenght of Tobi's involvement in the happenings.

I doubt that it was ever physicly his. if it was then he never would have gave it away. I think that he got Nagato's parents to meet (who were an Uzumaki and decendant of the senju, and the father who i believe was an uchiha distantly) which litterally caused him to have a rinnegan by means of genetics. I dont think tobi ever owned a rinnegan before Nagato died

He didn't unlock it after his fight with Hashi.
He unlocked his eyes way, way afterwards. Decades later.

Madara clearly states that he obtained the Rinnegan a little while before his death. He lived until the 2nd Shinobi WW, seeing that he could specifically name Nagato and call him a brat. He must have died around that time, just arond the time Nagato first showed his Rinnegan.

i think the rinnegen maybe wat you achive if u are a uchiha with out hatred. maybe before madara died he had a change in perspective and let go of his hate. still im jus spouting random crappy suggestions lol. i know its hard to make rinnegen tho. u would have to be a uchiha, get MS then your bro wud have to have MS then u wud have to take his eyes to get EMS then incorprate senju DNA to be able to achive a means of obtaining rinnegen....or am i wrong?

It's not clear if Senjuu DNA is required to obtain the Rinnegan, but seeing that all those who boast it in the manga have some Senjuu DNA in them in one way or another, it's a debatable topic. :shrug:

Haha, I'm not sure if I would call Madara a bloke without hatred.
He's basically all giddy right now because he got to destroy thousands of shinobi just to try out a new jutsu.
He called Tsunade useless, belittled Oonoki, called Kabuto pathetic, made fun of the OP jutsus the Kage's threw his way, made it clear that he hated the Senjuu with a passion and basically proved that he's the most arrogant character in the whole series in just a couple of chapters.

And I love him for that. <3

good point. and yea tobidara is the man! i like his split personality. it does make sense with senju blood as rinnegan is a transmigration eye that controls life and death so i thought it wud make sense that a user wud need a lot of life energy to balance out and control the death side. and as we know senju have a lot of life energy if im correct???lol
