I have yet to see anyone with a Rinnegan go backwards to a EMS

Granted....
Nagato only had a Rinnegan
Obito used the one Nagato received from Madara
Once Madara got it back he couldn't switch between the two

Only Edo Madara could and his Rinnegan wasn't even real due the fact that it dissolved like the other edo bodies

So how is it that even with manga facts that Sasuke always has it activated are people still denying it?
Do you think his Uchiha hair is strong enough to negate the prowess of the Rinnegan?

It was never stated that it couldnt be deactivated.

Nagato never did because he was constantly usig his puppet jutsu on the 6 paths of pain.

Obito and Madara never did because they were in battle the entire time.

And Edo Madara did yes against the Raikage, so thats the only indication that it can be deactivated ( regardless if it was " real " it still contained it full power )

So I would say Sasuke can deactivate it. And his hair covering his eye is just cosmetic for his character design

Sasuke can't deactivate his rinnegan to a lower state sharingan, he hasn't been shown to, and basically people don't understand that because his hair covers his rinnegan whenever he activates sharingan.

When Madara died his Rinnegan reverted to 3-Tomoe Sharingan.

Why mention Obito and Nagato when they are borrowers of the eye? It's a rule that they can't deactivate it. Madara never did because he was always in battle during the War Arc, and it doesn't make sense to downgrade from Rinnegan to EMS, especially once he became the Juubi Jin and gained his other eye back in his real body.

Rinnegan can be deactivated by the original owner, but Sasuke's is a special case for some odd reason. Maybe he didn't awaken it and Hagoromo gave it to him, but obviously not in the same sense that Madara gave Nagato his eyes.

The problem is that in the last, Sasuke was shown briefly without it and apparently that movie was canon. However, active or not, the fact remains that his hair is blocking that eye. So it's basically the same as him having it closed.

Kakashi couldn't deactivate his Sharingan because it is a borrowed eye , the same refers to Nagato.

If the rinnegan was given/transplanted to you it cannot be switched back. Madara and Sasuke can use the abilities of their ems even with their rinnegans though because they are the original owners

Gravity Manipulation is as great a defense as Sasunoo
Paired with the ability to absorb all ninjutsu

I theorize because that is not the case is why Sasuke was given a Rinnegan in one eye and allowed to keep EMS in the other

Madara's eyes didn't revert to anything at any moment. After implanting his eyes in Nagato he was seen with a 3t Sharingan, but that was just a spare he had lying around. Of which he'd probably used the other one after he lost one to Izanagi.

Nv logic dictates that transplanted eyes cannot be switched to normal forms like Kakashi and Nagato's eyes, however in the last Sasuke was shown without the rinnegan active, though he is the first one who had done that also movie was cannon, so y'know can't say for sure at this point.

The only problem I have with this explanation is Hagoromo. He's never been shown without the Rin'negan. He wasn't necessarily in battle when he was talking to Naruto and Sasuke, and in every situation we've seen him in, it's been active. I'm not sure if using Edo Madara's feats counts towards real Rin'negan users since it wasn't a real Rin'negan.

If this was the case than Sasuke wouldn't have been able to use kagutsuchi in his left eye. He still had the same abilities plus new ones, not the other way around. And his eye was a special rinnegan. We won't get an explanation as to why but that's just how it is

Argument can go either way. Madara with his real eyes never deactivated. Sasuke never deactivated. Hagoromo hasn't shown to. Argument can be made for both, but I doubt we'll get an answer about this.
