if sharingan and senju dna gave you rinnegan , then not only danzo but many other uchihas in the past who implanted senju dna would have gotten it...

not only that but not once in the manga was it stated that senju or uzumaki dna was needed to advance from ems to rinnegan... that's just a popular theory by people who refuse to believe sasuke will ever get it

Its actually still a mystery as to how nagato got the rennegan still but as if now we just know the sharinggan part of the ability we seen from edo madara isnt here so that might have something to do with it.
