So we all know what the sharingan is (note: this is not EMS VS 6 paths abilities). It's a visual jutsu that enables one to instantly understand any ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu and copy it to perfection. The rinnegan is a visual jutsu that lets one have access to all ninjutsu.

Essentially, the sharingan enables one to have instant power in any given situation. The rinnegan allows for a deep understanding of ninjutsu and enables for training for all ninjutsu. This includes sealing, barriers, and genjutsu which Nagato has displayed. He displayed high level of genjutsu by making enough genjutsu barriers to delay Inoichi's probes on his henchman.

What's the difference? The difference is the same as someone who cheats on a test compared to the one who was cheated off of. One only knows the answer, the other knows the source material and how it works. To a sharingan user, every ninjutsu is a new thing to copy. To a rinnegan user, each ninjutsu is a variation of that which they already know. Nothing surprises them. It's even possible that they could have access to ninjutsu like particle style. In other words, if a rinnegan user fought a sharingan user who was equally skilled in a fight of just nijutsum the rinnegan would always win. The sharingan user has a an arsenal that's limited and he has to build on. The rinnegan user knows all and can use his diversity and strategy to trap the sharingan user and can use much more effective ninjutsu.

That's my opinion on the rinnegan and sharingan. Hope you enjoyed it.

That was good. But it all depends on how those two smart are, who's more experienced, intelligent, etc., imo.

"An expert with a pebble can still beat a novice with a shuriken." Zetsu was right. The user and their abilities are what matters, not the tool they are using.

This is a different situation than what Zetsu was talking about. The rinnegan is a skill-building dojutsu

Rinnegan has no access to MS hacks :p.

Yes having ability to use any chakra type opens the door to create any ninjutsu, but user is limited by his own lack of ninjutsu understanding and creativity intelligence.

Sharingan is provides you with super survival mode with motion prediction ninjutsu breakdown (reading and copy if possible) also hypnotic powers.

Rinnegan user requires peace and stability to grow and develop ninjutsu also innate genius or guidance.
Sharingan user requires war time to get experience to push the battle skills, basically ultimate instincts

Good, but it all depends on how good the one uses his dojutsu.

Solid ass theory. I think the so6p's back story can enlighten us on the dojutsus and their backgrounds a little more.

But they are essentially as you depicted.

Sharingan doesn't copy everything
Rinnegan copies anything

Sharingan could change
Rinnegan always show

Rinnegan brought foruth Ninjustu
Sharingan was meant to give a perfect rinnegan host

You.... pretty much restated some of what I already said.

nagato vs sauke

Are you requesting a VS thread, my opinion on that, or are you comparing Nagato VS Sasuke to my thread.

In any case. Nagato crushes Sasuke. Inferno style is useless due to preta path and Nagato can use universal pull to yank Sasuke out of his susanoo.

I found it hard to make a picture from your words and felt that sharingan was unexplained a little. Sorry anyway

It's fine. I stated that sharingan was instant power for the record. at least we're on the same page. Next is susanoo's origin and why 6 paths is the technique of the rinnegan despite it not being related to eyes.

You may be overthinking the situation.

To me the Sharingan is just a Rinnegan that has been watered down and weakened by outside influence over time. There was no innate reasoning or purpose for the difference between them, it was just a side effect that was more than likely not intended by the SO6P.
