Now the sage fought the 10 tails presumbly he had Unlimted sage mode,Spirit items and the dojutsu Rinnegan but ive been thinking about something the pain fight with the 9 tails might have been a reenactment of that famous fight im especially convinced by the chibaku tensei at the end which the sage did on his death bed to the 10 tails after he became the 10 tails host so what im trying to say is that Nagato v the 9 tails was a watered down version of the sage v juubi do you agree?

the rinnengan, because pain can repel pysical attacks and absorb all chakra blasts, not to mention summon indestruactable animals to damage the beasts.

Sage mode stems from frogs of Mount Myoboku. I doubt So6P had something like that and I think he just earned title of "sage" for his incredible power.

No dude, it's not stated anywhere that Great Toad Sage existed in the time of So6P. We are talking about centuries here and only the tailed beasts are known to be that old. And if you didn't know, term sage in popular culture is actually used to describe someone who is very wise, a spiritual teacher or teacher of mysticism. It's sometimes also used as a replacement of word "priest". And that's what So6P actually was, a very wise being (a priest like Jiraiya said) who taught humanity the very truth about chakra, spiritualism and proclaimed peace. There is nothing here to lol about, don't act smart without being informed and learn to think outside the freakin' box.

-Erm, what on the God's green Earth does this guy have to do with the Senju clan?

-There was never mentioned anything regarding any possible connection between Great Toad Sage (that guy above if you know who I am talking about in the first place) and the So6P.
