I will be theorizing about something I discovered, I call it the Rinnegan Syndrome.
First we see Nagato:

Nagato wanted to stop war by killing everyone, thus creating "peace". He did this because his friends and family were all killed in war. He truly hated the world. Then we see Madara:

Madara also hated the world and he wants to create the Infinite Tsukuyomi to establish peace. And recently, we saw Obito's reasoning:

Sure, he may be a bitch, but it's still relates to the similarity I noticed. He hates the world because a chick died and that people are always at war. And now Rikudo:

You must be registered for see images

Rikudo traveled around the world, tried to stop wars and lead the world to peace.

Notice something similar between the Rinnegan users?

I noticed that all Rinnegan users have a problem with the world.

Conclusion:

• All Rinnegan users have a problem with the world.
• Because the Rinnegan derives from the Juubi's eye, the Juubi also has this similar trait. Thus him desiring to destroy the world.

What differentiates he Rinnegan users from those other people is that they acually tried to solve it unlike those people who just constantly create war.

I think we are jumping to conclusions too early here.

You really can't say that with no evidence to back it up. What we have read from the manga is that the Sage possessed the Rinnegan, it makes no mention of him getting it from the Juubi at all.

As we've seen already the SO6P had rinnengan before taking in the juubi. Now what really makes it weird is that each of these people has/ will fail to bring peace.

I agree with this post. Its just like reality, wherever people are peaceful someonewill try to disturb it. Anything worth having peoplewill try to steal.The only way to truly have peace is to control everyone or kill everyone, that's what people eventually realize. So you have those who want peace, and those who want to be peaceful... And that is completely different. Its like Peaceful is every in the house sleep, a tv might be on, a/c kicks on time to time, slight snoring but no one has any worries in the house. Peace would be an empty house, no a/c, no power, no people, nothing. Those who truly want peace have obtained the rinnegan. Those who want to be peaceful try to show those who want peace there's a different way.
