In my opinion, Rinnegan is superior to RSM slightly if not more. Here is why..

Feats

RSM = 9 Bijuu chakra, SM, and has Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning, Yin, and Yang..

Rinnegan = Hagoromo chakra, Water, Earth, Wind, Fire, Lightning, Yin, and Yang..

Rinnegan Advantages

3. Limbo: Border Jail (Madara)

4. Amenotejikara (Sasuke)

5. Dimensional Travel (Sasuke)

Rikudo Sage Mode Advantages

1. Juubi Power (Madara)

2. Truth-Seeking Balls

3. Immortality (Madara)

4. 9 Bijuu Powers (Naruto)

Rinnegan has more advantages.. so Rinnegan wins.

No it doesn't. No rinnegan only user has the power to defeat a Rikudo senjutsu user. All those that can(sasuke) also have other body powers in addition to the rinnegan. Sasuke has half of hogoromo's chakra, in other words half rikudo senjutsu chakra.

it is actually not the rinnegan that is more OP than rsm it is the user. Compare nagato to RSM naruto. Now compare Sasuke to RSM naruto.

I think RSM is better just by a little. I still prefer Rinnegan though. Limbo is super OP and there are less than 10 people in the Narutoverse that can fight against a Limbo user. For a non-rinnegan/rsm user fighting an RSM user is tough, but fighting a Limbo user is impossible

We aren't just considering RSM here, rather we are considering rikudo senjutsu as a whole since madara was mentioned in the OP. This means the bijuu power is included.

They are tied. Ashura = Indra, Madara = Hashi, Naruto = Sasuke. No reason why either will be power will be greater than the other so it's all based on a persons personal preference. Side note I like RSM because of tai abilities and cloak.
