Rinnegan question

Since Rinnegan is an "upgrade" of Sharingan, then could it be possible that all the techniques of Sharingan will be carried away to Rinnegan like the Mangekyou.

If not, then why?

I don't think so. The Sharingan is related to the Rinnegan, but it's still an indipendent Dōjutsu with own specialities. For example Genjutsu. Madaras Kage Bunshin didn't use Genjutsu:Sharingan in chapter 580 with the Rinnegan, but Mangekyō Sharingan.
The Uchihas Sharingan and Kaguyas Sharingan/Rinnegan have similar characteristics regarding Genjutsu. On the other hand Hagoromos and Madaras Rinnegan are different in this case.
