rinnegan question

can the rinnegan read movements like the sharingan and byakugan? as in without the 6 paths jutsu can a rinnegan user see things like sasuke when he fought one tails naruto or neji when he fought kidomaru? would a person with the rinnegan (no 6 paths jutsu) be able to keep up with those attacks and dodge them?

assuming kidomaru's attacks were in the rinnegan users line of vision instead of 360 degrees
