Rinnegan or Sharingan?

Misconception. What progress after the Sharingan is not Rinnegan. Rinnegan is simply a mutation.

Only Indra's reincarnation with Hashirama DNA could awaken the Rinnegan like Madara did.... Sasuke was just lucky to revive the Sharinnegan from Hagoromo, but yeah Rinnegan could go back to all other Sharingan forms

As long as you have the sage's chakra, you can have Byukagan and still wipe the other two.

It's either Obito's ms, Sasuke's none eye rinnegan, or Byukagan.
