Rinnegan is said to be the strongest of all doujutsu. I mean look at what pain did to konoha
But in terms of insight I think it is inferior to the sharingan and byakugan.
Let us compare:
Byakugan
1. Byakugan has almost 360 degree vision.
2. It can see through things and in perfect darkness.
3. It can see very far distances( hinata can see up to 10Km) and it can see things like a microscope.
4. It can see chakra flow and colour it can also see chakra path ways and in some case the 361 chakra points.
Now the sharingan.
Sharingan
1. Sharingan can see chakra flow and colour.
2. It can see things in great detail.
3. It can slow down the frames of vision so the user can react to an action better.
4. It can see an opponents next move with a glance.
Now for Rinnegan
Rinnegan
1. It can see chakra flow and colour.
2. It can see hidden barriers and seals.
Like I said before the rinnegan is a much more powerful eye than the other two but in terms of insight from what we have seen thus far the rinnegan dosen't match them. Maybe sharingan attributes are carried over to madaras rinnegan as he can use susanoo with it. But we know that's not the case for obito and nagato as they can't seem to use the sharingan abilities with their rinnegan.
From the above link we can see that obito specifically refered to his sharingan when he said he could read guys movements.The only advantage rinnegan has is shared vision which can be useful with the six paths technique and the rinnegan summons. I am not bashing rinnegan or saying I am 100% correct.
