Rinnegan Death Thoery

I have a theory that the Rinnegan does not need Senju DNA to be unlocked. I think it is a natural evolution from the Sharingan. Why?

Sharingan is unlocked when an Uchiha is placed in immediate danger or difficult circumstances. Obito and Sasuke unlocked theirs when needed to protect a persons/their own life. Pretty much to keep them from death.

Now in order for Mangekyou to be unlocked, death is involved. Either an Uchiha has to kill someone they are best friends/closest to or come upon a difficult loss. Madara and Izuna were said to kill their best friends to unlock theirs. Sasuke killed(more so loss) Itachi. Itachi unlocked his Mangekyou when Shisui was killed by his hands(or experienced his loss somehow). Kakashi is a mystery as usual.

Now for Eternal Mangekyou to be unlocked, you must kill another Uchiha with the Mangekyou or steal their eyes. Death is involved again. Izuna gave up his eyes to Madara and died afterwards. Sasuke received his EMS from Tobi(implanted Itachis eyes).

Basically it is come near death to unlock Sharingan. Kill to unlock Mangekyou. Kill to unlock EMS.

What if you must come close to experiencing death once more to unlock the Rinnegan? Madara said he unlocked his before his death but we really don't know the time frame and how accurate that statement is. It would make some sense because the Uchiha are said to be a cursed clan ever since Uchiha Madara. Everything he gained has been through some sort of death. Power hungry Madara killed his friend for more power. He killed(who really knows) his brother power. He wanted to kill Hashirama for power but failed, but in the end gained power.

What do you guys think?

I don't recall him saying that. All I recall him stating is that he unlocked the Rinnegan shortly before his death. He obtained some of Hashirama's DNA through the battle.

EMS-- Pain due to Death of Brother/someone that close
Rinnegan-- Pain due to Death of ???

At one point I believed you got a Rinnegan when you sacrificed your own life for somebody more important... I don't know what to believe anymore...

I don't know if I like that. One clan having all the visual prowess. Your theory definitely is plausible, though.

I mean other Doujutsu may have other ways to get to the Rinnegan such as Byakugan but they wouldn't know anything about that. Madara actually experimented to gain his. How would he know to kill his best friend to gain the Mangekyou? Unless their is a scripture of some sort that he obtained with details, we are clueless to how he found out about evolving the Sharingan.

I don't believe it is natural evolution. It required something because why did it take madara so long to awaken it. Why didn't it occur before he fought first hokage? It looks like we find out soon

i think madara read the uchiha tablet with his ems and found out how to unlock the rinnegan and that's why he fought hashi

Lets use some facts to decide the Rinnegan theory. Currently, we know of 3 users of the Rinnegan; they are Nagato, Tobi and Edo Madara.

What do they have in common? Abundance of chakra/life force. Nagato (Uzumaki), Tobi (Hashirama-linked Zetsu DNA cells) and Edo Madara (Hashirama's DNA).

It wont surprise me one bit to think in order for the 4th Rinnegan user to appear, he must find all sort of ways to obtain the required DNA. Think about it, the Senju clan (body) and Uchiha clan (eye) are decesdants of the family tree of the SO6P. When people like Madara (eye) obtain Hashirama's DNA (body), it could trigger a natural body reaction that make his eyes become "complete".

Lets just assume Hashirama and Madara were "incomplete" due to their lack of each other's powers. But when combined, they can touch fragmants of the SO6P power.

The latest episode, for me, points to Sasuke finding out this truth from the scroll and wants to find Orochimaru to assist him to obtain the Rinnegan.

When Sasuke learns of Edo Madara is around, he knew Tobi was a fake and he needed to do something about it.

I mean like I said he himself had to come close to death. He has never really come close to death until his final battle with Hashirama where they went all out. And also Hashirama was the ONLY ninja that could stop Madara. No one else came close.

This is true. I forgot about the Chakra. But one thing you forgot is that Uchiha are born with huge and vast amounts of Chakra. This is the reason why Sasuke can maintain Susanoo AND Amaterasu for various lengths of time. Even with Itachi being on his death bed, he was able to use Susanoo and give it his all. Now the only people who really use Rinnegan must have large amounts of Chakra which is really rare. Only the Uchiha, Senju, Uzumaki and random ninjas have large amounts of Chakra. This brought me to another theory of mine on how Nagato gained his Rinnegan. Tobi stated that he was the one who gave him the Rinnegan to begin with. My theory was that the ORIGINAL Madara unlocked Rinnegan and devised a plan with Tobi to revive him in the future for the Moons Eye Plan. They needed a person with large Chakra reserves and came upon Nagato who was a Uzumaki. Madara gave Nagato his eyes and was planning on being revived with Rinne Tensei if I believe. Tobi stated that he influenced Nagato to start Akatsuki but he was the real mastermind(I'm babbling). I thought this was farfetched until Edo Madara was summoned by the 2nd Tsuchikage(too lazy for the manga panel). The first words Madara uttered when he was summoned was "How is that Nagato brat doing?" This means that they came into contact sometime in the past. Basically what I'm thinking is that is HAS to be unlocked by an Uchiha but can be implanted into others.

good theory, but with regard to awakening the rinnegan, i still think Senju DNA is key
