I got way too ahead of my self in my last thread, I quickly realized my faults with the help of the base.

The Hyuga clan, in general, is a noble leaf village clan

They possess a doujutsu, the Byakugan.

Now, this Doujutsu offers several abilities that resemble Rinnegan techs, this includes Almighty Push, etc, this is is similar to Heavenly Spin, this doujutsu also offers the ability to see charka points very clearly, and to emit charka from these points.
now, most techniques from the Byakugan form a yin and yang symbol in the manga and anime.

I think that this doujutsu is related much more closely to the Rinnegan, than the sharingan. it is very possible that this was the base Doujutsu, before the curse of hate took place.

The Hyuga are noted to be ancestors of the Uchiha on several wikis, and more than likely manga evidence.

I think that the Rinnegan developed from the Byakugan via either Juubi sealing, or a mutation of the fruits power from his mother.

Their clan name may be something different, but that could be to protect the clan from things happening to them like the Uzumaki.

Heavenly spin isn't a necessary Byakugan technique. Byakugan just makes it easier.

Hyuga were never noted to be the ancestors of Uchiha, don't know where you got that from. Manga scans?

I don't think so. Besides kakashi's statement. There is no manga evidence that suggests that the hyuga are in anyway related to the rikudo. Like how the uchiha, senju and uzumaki are. Kakashi was wrong about the rinnegan. So it is more likely than not that he is wrong here as well.

Kaguya and Hagoromo were the first to relate to chakra. Hagoromo was the first born with chakra and had Rinnegan not Byakugan. This statement alone proves your theory wrong.

Kakashi said the Rinnegan was a mutation, but I think it was the Byakugan which was mutated from the Sharingan, since it couldn't have been from the Rinnegan because besides Hagoromo, no one else had Rinnegan in the ancient times.

jeez guys it isn't like im stating this as fact, it's just nice to speculate sometimes.

however, I am still very excited to see what secrets the Byakugan is going to give us.

Speculating is okay, but since Byakugan wasn't developed at all ever since part 1, it's hard to still speculate anything about it. Don't expect any secrets about the Byakugan neither, since, as I said, it wasn't developed not one bit in the Shipuunden or in the 2nd part of the Manga.

This point has prob been made before but anyway...

It seems to me that those uchiha who lose their site as a result of izanami/izanagi develop white eyes similar to the Byakugan. It seems possible that is how the Hyuga developed. It would also make sense since the Hyuga do not generally use ninjutsu (which the sharingan is obviously ridiuclously useful for) but instead focus on taijutsu which the Byakugan specializes in.
