Rinnegan and genjutsu

just a quick question
Can rinnegan see through genjutsu since it's an evolved version of the sharingan?

But it is possible for a Rinnegan or sharingan user to become better at taijutsu
Or a Byakugan or Sharingan to become better at ninjutsu through practice

I kinda imagine it to be as you upgrade you don't lose the abilities of the previous eyes but they are cumulative.... because its like saying with EMS you cant copy jutsu or track fast moving objects which are features of the sharingan according to Narutopedia My assumptions though....

I dont think it can see through genjutsu like the sharingan but perhaps lets the user know they are under genjutsu.

You raise a logical point but through evolution you lose certain abilities as you gain new ones

Otherwise the Rinnegan would no longer have its no name or be a individual Doijutsu in its own right due to it being a direct upgrade to a inferior one

The Rinnegan doesn't need genjutsu as the user has a massive amount of chakra so only a true master like the toad sages with massive chakra supply can use genjutsu on the rinnegan successfully.

Well it is noteworthy that its called rinnegan not another type of sharingan just like MS nd EMS.. Not much has been shown in the manga apart from the diff path powers..no1s even shown all the elemental affinities which is said to be available to a rinnegan user

but if you reread the manga you will see (in the fight between pain and kakashi and then naruto) that pain was able to use something like genjutsu so kakashi wasn't able to place his chidori attack in the right direction or then he pierced through narutos hands with the metal stab and then he used the same jutsu again and said something like: so with this the kyuubi should be more accomodating (435 page 15)
this is the proof that rinnegan can use genjutsu
