If Rin had simply talked to Isobu and asked to cooperate with him, she could have gone into bijuu mode and beaten all the mist ninjas. Obito would then come back to Konoha with Kakashi and Rin and he would not have gone back to Madara. Instead, he would have told Minato about Madara and revealed the location of mountain's graveyard. Team Minato would have then gone to Madara's lair and cut his connections to the gedou mazou, thus killing him. They would then kill all the zetsus. Spiral Zetsu would get off of Obito's body (leaving him in a weak state for a time), but Minato, Rin and Kakashi may have been able to protect him and beat Spiral Zetsu (although this depends on whether Spiral Zetsu is currently being powered up by someone inside of him or if he can naturally use shinsusenju).
Assuming that team Minato won this battle, they could go back to Konoha in peace. Madara's plans would be foiled. Obito wouldn't have attacked Konoha. The Uchiha Massacre wouldn't have happened. Konoha would have two jinchuuriki. Kushina and Rin could train with their bijuu powers together. Naruto and Minato would not have had to become Kurama's jinchuurikis.
Konoha would have had a much easier time against the sand and sound village.
Nagato would have still had Rinnegan and Yahiko would have still died, but Obito would not have influenced Nagato's mind and the evil akautski would have never formed.
In terms of power:
Naruto wouldn't have been a jinchuuriki and he probably wouldn't have sage mode (since the original purpose with witch he learned that was to fight Pain and Nagato wouldn't have become Pain). However, Minato could teach him some techniques.
Obito, Kakashi, Shisui, Itachi and Sasuke probably wouldn't have awakened mangekyou sharingan.
In terms of teams: I could see...
Naruto being put on team Obito with two other random ninjas.
Sasuke would stay with Kakashi.
Sakura would be on team Rin.
All other teams would stay the same.
That is my prediction about what life would be like if Rin had just talked to Isobu.
