It makes perfect sense. It also can explain how Obito survived and who helped him. She straight just disappear out of the blue. She was a medical ninja, and Obito was in love with her. I know it was shown indirectly that she is no longer alive, but so was Obito. I think she has a HUGE role in this in my opinion.

Well im guessing he awakened his abilities and transported to the other dimension and survived so basicly his chakra vanished but your chakra also vanishes when you die so they thought he was dead.

Nah, by how its looking now someone probably used the dragonballs to revive him, caught the so6p ghost in a pokeball, fused it with obito, threw him into the sun, and he respawned jsut right there, as an adult, fighting the 4th hokage like its nothing.

Tobi has been shown to have a vast knowledge of medical Ninjutsu. He has had numerous parts of his body damaged throughout the series and always somehow replaces them. He also removed and implanted Itachi’s Sharingan’s in Sasuke’s eyes sockets replaced his own left Sharingan after his battle with Konan and Implanted the Rinnegan in his eye sockets, there is obviously someone behind the scenes. My theory is Rin! She is assumed to have died but Kishimoto has never indicated this nor deny it in the series. She was part of team Minato but a back-story for her has never been shown. Don’t you think that is somewhat weird? She was also able to successfully implant Obito's left Sharingan into Kakashi's eye socket with only basic medical tools. I believe that Obito and Rin are similar to Nageto and Konan I believe that when Rin was captured and Kakashi elected to abandoned her and finish the mission ultimately leading to Obito’s “Supposed death” Rin Blamed Kakashi for his death witch later lead to Obito contacting Rin to aid him in his plan.

Nah, I'm pretty sure Rin is dead. Kakashi stated in one of the early episodes that everyone close to him (Obito, Rin, Minato, White Fang) were dead :x
