I have a feeling that Rin is still alive.
Kakashi killed a Rin Zetsu-clone. We know that Kakashi is real since it showed Obito's eye being linked to Kakashi's.
Remember earlier in Naruto Shippuuden with the Zetsu clones vs Gai's team during the "Saving Gaara Chapters," Zetsu clones became perfect copies of Gai, Rock Lee, Tintin, and Neji. It could very well be possible that Rin is a clone.
Rin's death must have sparked two things:
-Leaving Kakashi the burden that he killed Rin and making Kakashi believe that he did it.
This is why Kakashi is shocked. Kakashi knows that he killed her.
-Obito believing that Kakashi killed Rin.
I have a theory that since the edo tensei never revived her, and there hasnt been a lot of evidence backing up the fact that she died. Rin could very well be alive somewhere. Rin could have disappeared. Or maybe she will come back and reconnect both Kakashi & Obito. Who knows what do you think?
