yeah but the only thing i would say is, when you kill the jinchuuriki the tailed beast gets re incarnated at some later point in time when kakashi killed rin the mist shinobi still wanted her body so i dont think this is the case

as we know in narutos case when raikage was goin to kill naruto it would of stalled tobis plan meaning narutos body would then become useless to the akatsuki

but the mist shinobi still wanted rins body even when she was dead she must of had something important because if i was them id be concentrating more on getting kakashis sharingan XD

My theory was Rin is a Senju. That's why they wanted her body and Kakashi pulled a Kisame.

If she was a Jinchuuriki she would have been shunned by everyone like all the others. The flash back showed she was friends with pretty much all the young ninjas of Kakashi's generation.

It's more likely she had some KKG.

Most likely not... I believe they chose Yagura as their spokesman because he was from the same generation as Naruto, and thus the youngest. Most jinchurikis had their "beasts" sealed within the first few years of their life. Utaka was most likely captured before Gaara, since Deidara said he had already captured 3 others before Gaara, and we know when the 2 amd 3 tailed were caught, so this leaves 5 others, and it is only likely to believe that Kisame and Itachi also caught some. In fact Deidara was actually the most useful akatsuki member

Also it seems like they brought Rins body back to Konoha. So it wouldn't make sense if she was a jinchuriki..

For some reason, I think that Rin was under the control of the Mist shinobi.
Kakashi was forced to fight Rin and had to kill her to free her from their control.

Cliché, I know. But it's a possibility.

I was thinking the six tails because it looks like there are bubbles coming off of her she Kakashi has his hand through her. Also, Kirigakure wanted it. They had two tailed beasts and the three tails was inside the MizuKage of that time so that leads me to think it was the six tails.

Maybe she was the Jinchuuriki of a Bijuu that was followed by another Jinchuuriki (i.e. she was Jinchuuriki of the Sanbi, and then after her death Yagura became the Jinchuuriki of the Sanbi)? Rin's been dead for 16-17 years, so it would've made sense for her Bijuu to be sealed into somebody else following her death.

Ok while thinking about the events around Rin's death I had an idea. I don't think Rin was working for the Mist Shinobi. She's been built up as too much of a nice and good natured person for her to betray her friends and village. My assumption would be the Mist villages wanted to take her for something. They seemed to be interested in her body, my guess would be she had something powerful in it they wanted. Tailed beast anyone? Those marks on her cheeks kinda look like sealing marks. Just a theory though. Also when you look at her when Kakashi is killing her, there are what look like bubbles around her. These could either be the technique relating to the six tails or could be the forming of a chakra cloak. She also looks a little bit like Utakata. Perhaps she asked Kakashi to kill her if she began to transform or was about to be taken by the mist shin obi. In that case her last words could be seen as a thank you. just a thought though. Interested in hearing other's opinions.
