It's going to be an epic story, if at the time, juubi and madara will become too powerfull even for all of those 4 hokages. Then, niidaime hokage et will use his edo tensei jutsu for make rikudou sennin et. After that, rikudou sennin et, naruto with kurama and 4 elder hokage will beat madara and juubi. The 4th ninja war story is going to be even awsome!!! Rikudou sennin will use his great jutsu to end the madara et power and split the juubi into 7 bijuu.

Well, considering the Elder Toad was said to be thousands of years old, I assumed he was too since it's probable that they met before.

Well, it's never clear about what happen to rikudou sennin after his death...
So, my opinion... when the r.s. death, his younger son burried him in the very secret place.
It's only the younger one that know the location.
After that, generation by generation the location is known by only a few trustable man of Senju's, including hashirama and tobirama.
Then, for his et jutsu necessary, tobirama and a few of Senju's go to check the location (to check if the rikudou's body is stollen or not).
And that place if full of trap, so only tobirama who survived enter the "secret grave" and come out alive with sample of r.s. dna...

Well, it's just what I think. After all, I'm not Masashi Kishimoto... I'm just a fan =D

They don't have Rikudou's DNA to reanimate him, but still Obito can sacrifice his own life to cast Gedō Rinne Tensei no Jutsu...:devil:

Of course S06P would be thousands of years old. His son's created the Uchiha and Senju, that would take a long time, plus the elder toad was already mentioned to be thousands of years old, he was probably one of S06P's summons.
