From the Uzumaki ancestor was born the Rikudou Sennin and his Uzumaki kin. Rikudou's Uzumaki kindred are the direct ancestors of the Shinobi-era Uzumaki Clan. The Rikudou Sennin himself started his own branch, as the Juubi's Jinchuuriki and through the use of the Creation of All Things Jutsu, the Uchiha and Senju Ancestors came into existence. The Elder Son's progeny intermarried with the Hyuugas, the Elder Son's offspring became the Uchiha Clan. The Younger Son's descendants became the Senjus, centuries later a descendant of the Senju Ancestor: Hashirama, married his distant cousin Mito, creating a hybrid mixture of Uzumaki and Senjus in the persons of Tsunade and Nawaki.
