What if I had been serious? Would people still be offended if I actually believed that Kishi was utilizing not just Shintoism and Buddhism, but also Christianity and other world religions as a basis for his inspiration?
If I were fully capable of backing up my claim, then people would merely disagree or agree with me (mostly disagree) and then go about their business without being offended.

Unfortunately, when making light of someone's (even my own) beliefs, it seems that it doesn't take much to get people riled up.

If I do end up banned for this thread being considered offensive, spam, and/or trolling, then I guess I would understand.

Nevertheless, I don't mean to make a mockery of anything other than perhaps the insane amount of symbolism and parallels that Kishimoto utilizes.
I shall repeat again that I apologize if this does indeed offend anyone... I'm kinda regretting this thread now...
The thing is you're not serious
Though you say you're not trying to make a mockery
To some people you are
I'm not getting very offended but I'm just saying you should reassess what you're going to do before you do it and think about how things will play out once you've done it

Reminds me of a joke that I heard awhile ago: "Christianity is the result of the greatest lie ever told to cover up a pregnancy" haha
OT: People will always be offended by something. But people really get offended by Jesus jokes. So don't do them. Or do do them. Most of the world is a free country.

Indeed. I realize that and considered it before making the thread. Unfortunately, I gauged the majority of the populace response incorrectly. I shouldn't falsely assume that 90% of the internet is atheist (as the stereotype dictates).
