Once the fire continues down it would blow the smoke away, so once I notice that your gone and it would only be possible for you to have gone underground, I would know this because if you went into the air then me or my clone would see you, and you couldn't have gone to either sides because the racing fire is still going. So I would be able to react before your crater fully comes (since it only loosens gravel, I would be able to react before it completely breaks).

*stabs Soul Eater, my sword, into the ground near me to make a slanted Ice spike appear that slants over the crater allowing me to grab onto it and lift myself up to normal ground and my clone does the same after I help lift him up*

As my clone is situating himself on the spike, I jump down, noticing your fire heading towards us, and use:

As soon as my fire converges my clone throws several shuriken into my fire, going towards you. You would have no way of noticing them, since they are hidden in the flames, until the fires cancelled each other out, by then, the shurikens would be tough to dodge. By now my other clone would have landed, and he uses:
